A few questions on exhaust: Just about any name-brand (B&B, HKS, Labree, Greddy, etc.) aftermarket exhaust will produce a somewhat noticeable gain over an OEM unit, correct? Ok, next question: Let's say I find a full stainless cat-back for my Z for $400... let's say it's similar to a Greddy PE, something with a single tip (no, not the Hiper). Now, imagine I drive with it on my TTZ for one month, take it off, and replace it with a Labree unit (X-pipe, direct routing). Am I going to notice a large enough gain to justify spending an extra $500, or could it be put to better use? I see this Labree vs. other exhaust debate quite a bit, but don't see any hard evidence (YET). In all honestly, I would buy the Labree right now *if* I had the money. I like how it looks, gains or not. But right now, I'd rather conserve my money in case I *need* it later. Performance-wise, would it be worth me spending 2X as much for a Labree unit, or could I find similar performance gains somewhere down the road for the $500 I saved? I know this is more a matter of personal opinion, but I value the opinions of you tt.net members just as much. Flame me if you want... I just wanted to hear from you guys before I dropped some money on an exhaust this week. Thanks, ~Mike
